The American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday afternoon that WKU sophomore Jackson Gray made the ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Second Team. The Wheaton, Illinois native is the seventh Hilltopper in the last 10 years to earn all-region baseball recognition.

The College of Dupage transfer started all 52 games in his first year on the Hill during the 2021 season. He led the Hilltoppers in both batting average (.363) and on-base percentage (.460) while placing second on the team with a .592 slugging percentage.

Gray hit eight home runs and tallied 32 RBIs. He did not commit an error on the defensive side of the diamond, turning in a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000.

Gray was also named to the Conference USA Second-Team in May and was awarded C-USA Hitter of the week honors after going 7-for-10 while batting in five runs and hitting a walk-off homerun in a four-game series against Marshall.
