The WKU Volleyball program is increasing match viewing accessibility this upcoming season.

All 13 home matches this season will be streamed on Facebook Live. All regular-season home and away matches, 26 in total, will be broadcast via radio for the first time, according to WKU Athletics. Brett Williams, “The Voice of the Lady Toppers”, and Ken Marshall will be announcing on the radio broadcast that will be synchronized with the Facebook live streams. Williams will also be on the call for all away matches this season.

This will be the second season in program history that radio broadcasts will be accessible. This past season was the first time that matches were broadcast over the radio.

Head coach Travis Hudson will also begin a weekly Coach’s Show at Roosters this season. These weekly radio shows will happen on Monday nights from 6-7 p.m. CT. and WKU Football Head Coach Tyson Helton will follow at 7 p.m. Matches will be broadcast on ESPN Radio, 102.7 FM and on ESPNRadio1027.com for those who want to listen in but are outside of the listening zone.

Pre-match coverage will start 30 minutes before each first serve is conducted. Post-match and pre-match coverage are both scheduled to last an estimated 30 minutes. Both coverages will feature interviews by Coach Hudson and some will feature interviews with student-athletes, according to WKU Athletics.

WKU Volleyball’s 2021 season will begin on Aug. 19 when the Kentucky Wildcats, the defending national champs, visit E. A. Diddle Arena for an exhibition match.
