Conference USA announced on Monday that WKU graduate quarterback Bailey Zappe has earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, becoming the fifth Hilltopper to do so since the program joined the conference in 2014.

Zappe’s 435 yards on Saturday were the most against an Army defense since 2000 (as far back as the records show.) He scored four of the team’s five touchdowns, three through the air and one on the ground.

Zappe is the only FBS quarterback with two 400-yard passing games so far this season. The Houston Baptist transfer has completed 70% of his passes while throwing for over 400 yards in both games so far this year.

Zappe shared the weekly honor with FAU quarterback N’Kosi Perry, who competed 70% of his passes while throwing for 332 yards and four touchdowns to just one interception in a dominant 38-6 win over Georgia Southern.

Zappe will take the field at home on Sept. 25 against the Indiana Hoosier at Houchens-Smith Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network and kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
