After just a year on the Hill, WKU Men’s Basketball senior Guard Braxton transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, according to an Instagram post from A&P Agency reposted to Bayless’s personal account.
Bayless came off the bench for most of the season but still managed significant minutes behind senior guards Don McHenry and Khristian Lander, averaging 22.5 a game. He averaged 7.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
The first year Hilltopper had his breakout game as a Hilltopper on Feb. 22 in a 64-63 Hilltopper victory over Louisiana Tech. Against the Bulldogs, Bayless shot 11-19 for a career-high 27 points, capping off the night with a game-winning driving layup as time expired.
Bayless is headed to a Trojans team that finished the 2024-25 season 19-14 and 12-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference, which landed them third. He will have an opportunity to bolster an offense that averaged 69 points per game.
