WKU Volleyball travels to Milwaukee this weekend for the Marquette Invitational.
The Hilltoppers come out of the WKU Invitational with a 2-1 record, dropping a five-set thriller to Drake. The Hilltoppers were led by freshman Kaira Knox last weekend. Knox put up 41 kills, earning herself CUSA Freshman of the Week.
WKU will face familiar foes in 25th-ranked Dayton and Marquette on Friday in a doubleheader. They end the weekend against Buffalo on Saturday.
Dayton and WKU open the tournament. This will be the 11th time the Flyers and Hilltoppers face off, with the series being an even split. Dayton has won the last two matchups in back-to-back sweeps. The Flyers come off a weekend where they went 2-1, losing in four sets to 21st-ranked Utah.
WKU also takes on tournament host Marquette. The Hilltoppers and Golden Eagles have met five times. Marquette took down WKU in five sets last season. The Golden Eagles come off a weekend where they finished 2-1.
The Hilltoppers finish the tournament on Saturday in a standalone game against Buffalo. This will be just the second time these two programs face off. The last matchup was in 1996, where WKU swept the Bulls. Buffalo is coming off a weekend where they went 2-1.
