Susan Howarth has been named WKU’s new executive vice president for strategy, operations and finance, according to an email from WKU President Timothy Caboni.

“We are confident Susan’s 30+ years of experience will lead both her and WKU to great success,” Caboni said in the email. “I’d like to thank the EVP Search Committee, chaired by Dean Corinne Murphy, for their hard work and discernment during this process.”

Howarth will assume the position on June 17. Ann Mead, WKU’s current senior vice president for finance and administration, will continue in her role until June 30, Caboni said.

“We are grateful for Ann Mead’s 25 years of service at WKU,” Caboni said in the email. “She will continue in her role until June 30, when she will transition to a well-deserved, slower pace in retirement. We will provide ample opportunities to celebrate Ann, and her many contributions to our University, over the next couple of months.”

Howarth is currently the director of decision support at the University of Louisville.
