WKU Relay for Life is hosting a Glow Walk at 5:00 p.m. at Centennial Mall on Tuesday, Oct. 24. The walk will raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The group is lead by its staff advisor Josclynn Brandon, who is a coordinator of Diversity, Leadership and Volunteerism in the Department of Student Activities.

“WKU has had a long-standing relationship with the Warren County Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society,” Brandon said.

The Glow Walk isn’t the only event the WKU Relay for Life team has done to raise money. The group has done other fundraisers such as the Suits and Sneakers Challenge, bingo nights and food related fundraisers, one of which was named “Eat 4 WKU Relay”.

“The students get to be as creative as they want with how they fundraise. In the past we’ve hosted benefit nights, a bingo game and dodge ball tournaments, among other things,” Brandon said.

Participants are asked to meet at Centennial Mall for the start of the event. WKU Relay for Life will sell glow sticks and those participating will do a lap around campus. If you are unable to participate in the Glow Walk, donate and support other fundraiser events that are held around campus.
