Soumaoro transferring to University of Mobile, becomes third Topper to transfer

WKU sophomore center Daouda Soumaoro is transferring to the University of Mobile, according to a press release from the University of Mobile.

The Rams are an NAIA school in Mobile, Ala.

Soumaoro, a 6-foot-9, 235 pound center, appeared in nine games, including four starts last season for WKU and totaled 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Soumaoro spent one season with the Toppers after transferring from Iowa Western Community College. 

Soumaoro joins junior forward Aaron Adeoye and freshman guard Payton Hulsey as Toppers who have requested and been granted transfers.

Adeoye, a 6-foot-7, 237 pound forward, will transfer to Southern Illinois after averaging 3.6 points and 4.28 rebounds per game in one season with the Toppers.

Husley, a 6-foot-5, 207 guard, will transfer to Eastern Florida State College after one year with WKU. The Memphis, Tenn. native averaged 13.5 minutes per game and averaged 3.1 points and 2.74 rebounds per game.
