Junior linebacker Andrew Jackson has been named to another preseason awards watch list.

Jackson was named to the Butkus Award watch list on Monday. The Lakeland, Fla., native has also been named to the Nagurski Award watch list in recent days, and was named on Monday to the 2012 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference team.

Jackson recorded 109 tackles for WKU a year ago, a figure that more than doubled the amounts of any of his teammates.

He also led the Sun Belt Conference with 17 tackles for loss.

Other notable players named to the Butkus watch list include Georgia’s Jarvis Jones, Stanford’s Shane Skov and Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o.
