The Board of Regents approved all of the action items at its Third Quarterly Meeting earlier today.

Among the approvals are:

Academic Affairs Committee 

Approvals of 5 new academic programs including:

• Approval of an undergraduate minor in American Sign Language

• Approval of an undergraduate minor in Literature

• Approval of an undergraduate certificate in CNSS 4011

• Approval of a graduate certificate in Literacy in Post-Secondary Education

• Approval of a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Administration

The new Colonnade general education program was also approved.

Executive Committee 

• Approval of the revision of the deadly weapons policy at WKU

• Approval of the contracts for Athletics Director Todd Stewart, men’s basketball coach Ray Harper, and women’s basketball coach Michelle Clark-Heard

• Approval of the Greek Village Development program for Pi Kappa Alpha and Phi Delta Theta fraternity houses

Finance and Budget Committee 

• Approval of personnel actions
