Bowling Green police received a report that a person was robbed at gunpoint at the Registry Apartments near WKU’s campus Thursday afternoon.

It is not known if WKU students were involved with the incident said Ronnie Ward, public information officer for BGPD. Ward said he isn’t sure that the report given is exactly accurate.

“We are not exactly sure what happened,” he said. “We are investigating it but we’re not exactly sure the information we’re given is exactly right.”

The suspected armed robbery report is “kind of a mess” and BGPD is trying to “tidy it up,” he said.

Tammie Price, manager of The Registry, said there was no attempted robbery on the property.

However, Ward said the attempted robbery was reported through their police scanner.

“During the course of investigation we’ve discovered a couple different stories and we were unable to determine what was true,” she said. “But the incident is still being investigated to make sure there are no victims of a robbery.”
