Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky is bowling to raise money.

The youth mentoring organization pairs kids ages six to 12 with adults who help influence their lives, Special Events Director Robin Pemberton said.

They’ve had Bowl for Kids’ Sake events for 28 years in the region, and this year there will be three, she said.

The first is Tuesday in the bowling alley on the fourth floor of Downing University Center, Pemberton said.

To participate, you must sign up in advance and form a group of five, she said. Each person in the group must raise at least $30.

At the event, there will be door prizes and free pizza for participants in addition to an hour of bowling, she said.

Even if someone can’t participate, they are welcome to come stop by and make a donation, Pemberton said.

The other events will be on February 26 at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green and March 12 at Highlander Bowl in Glasgow, she said.

To sign up for any of the three events, contact the office for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky at 781-1180 or visit www.bbbsky.com for more information.
