Forensics competes in three tournaments

Members of Western’s forensic team helped snag individual and team awards during three tournaments during the weekend of Sept. 26-28.

Twelve members of Western’s team traveled to Kirksville, Mo., for the Truman State Swing Tournament where they won the overall championship, placed

first in debate and second in individual events behind Illinois State.

Seven more members took first place at the Clemson/West Florida Swing Tournament in Clemson, S.C., over Berry College.

At the Middle Tennessee University Swing Tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn., seven team members led Western to a second place finish behind Alabama.
