WKU Basketball senior center Jamarion Sharp entered the transfer portal Tuesday, March 28.

The announcement comes just 10 days after WKU signed new head coach, Steve Lutz. Former head coach Rick Stansbury recruited the Hopkinsville, Kentucky native after he spent his first two years at John A. Logan College in Illinois.

Sharp is no stranger to the portal. He entered the portal following the 2021-22 season, but decided to return to the Hill for his senior year.

Sharp, the tallest Division I player standing at 7”5, was the defensive anchor for the Hilltoppers over the past two seasons. Sharp led Division I in blocks per game each of his two years on the Hill.

Along with the rejections, Sharp brought solid rebounding to the team averaging 7.6 boards in his WKU career.

Sharp will have the option to return to WKU and has two years of eligibility remaining.
