WKU Soccer returns to action Thursday as they travel to Alabama to face the UAB Blazers. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
The Hilltoppers are coming off a three-game home stand where they went 2-1, beating Jackson State 1-0 on Aug. 21, followed by a 1-0 loss to Dayton on Aug. 28. Closing out the stretch with a 5-1 win over Union last Sunday, WKU stands at 3-2.Â
Junior midfielder Georgia Liapis leads the team in goals after her hat trick against Rio Grande (Ohio) and scoring a goal against Union. Sophomore midfielder Torrie Grant-Clavijo leads the team in assists after recording two against Rio Grande and one against Union.Â
UAB comes into the game with a 2-2-1 record. The Blazers are coming off a 5-0 win over the University of Louisiana Monroe on Aug. 24 and a 5-1 win over Southern Miss on Sunday.Â
This will be the 11th meeting between the two programs, with the Hilltoppers leading the head-to-head 5-4-1. In the last meeting, UAB claimed victory in a 1-0 game.Â
WKU and UAB will kick off at 7 p.m. at PNC Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Fans can watch on ESPN+.Â
