The Sky Arts Film Festival will return for its fourth year at the Capitol Theater this weekend, featuring local and national films, film trailers and classes led by film professionals.
The festival will also feature a showing of the 2005 award-winning film “Loggerheads” by award-winning screenwriter and director Tim Kirkman.
“If you’re in the film world, if you want to get in the film world, or if you’re curious how certain things are made in the film world, then our film festival would be great for you,” Sky Art Film Festival Director Andrew Swanson said. “We have industry professionals that come and talk about their specific thing that they do with the filmmaking process.”
The festival will also announce submitted entry awards and prizes from 12 categories, including Short Documentary, Student Short Film and Best Cinematography.
The classes will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, at noon, and Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m.. Events will follow each day.
