Head coach Greg Collins calls to his players during the women’s basketball game against Marshall on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2021. The Lady Toppers defeated the Thundering Herd 79-65.

Last week, WKU women’s basketball released its 2023 non-conference slate which is headlined by three power 5 opponents.

The first of these three power 5 games comes on the road in Nashville, Tennessee against the Vanderbilt Commodores on November 15th.

Nine days later, during Thanksgiving weekend, WKU will play the Kansas State Wildcats in the first game of the Gulf Coast Showcase located in Estero, Florida. Other big programs like Iowa and North Carolina are participating in the showcase and could be possible opponents for the Lady Toppers.

WKU will finish their games against power 5 schools on December 2nd, as they travel to Corvallis, Oregon to take on the Oregon State Beavers.

WKU will officially tip off their 2023 campaign when they welcome the Mercer Bears to E.A. Diddle Arena on November 6th. The Lady Toppers will get their first road test four days later on November 10th when they travel to Cedar City, Utah to play Southern Utah.

WKU returns home to play Cornell on November 13th before a two-game road trip consisting of Vanderbilt and the Miami (OH) Redhawks from November 15-18.

The Lady Toppers come back to E.A. Diddle Arena to host Bucknell on November 21st before shipping off to the Gulf Coast Showcase.

WKU will have a 19 day stretch without a home game until they host the Ball State Cardinals on December 10th and the Abilene Christian Wildcats on December 18th.

WKU will then travel to Springfield, Missouri for the Missouri State Classic where they will face the Nevada Wolfpack on December 20th and the Missouri State Bears on the 21st.

The 2023 non-conference slate will conclude in Bowling Green as the Lady Toppers welcome West Virginia State.
