WKU Womens Basketball (12-6, 3-0 C-USA) will look to extend their undefeated record in conference play this week.

Starting on Thursday, the Lady Toppers will host the New Mexico State Aggies at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Aggies sit second to last in the conference at 0-2 in C-USA play and 6-9 overall.  They’ll look to rebound after losing their last five games.

Aggie guard Jaila Harding scored 22 points in the team’s matchup at UTEP and has made 10 three pointers over their last last three games.  Senior guard Molly Kaiser leads the Aggies in points per game at 14.9.  Both guards are in the top five on their team in 3-point percentage, something the Lady Toppers will have to look out for.

However, the Lady Toppers have their own prolific scorers.  The team leader, along with the C-USA leader in points per game, is sophomore guard Acacia Hayes.  She averages 16.7 points per game and has scored the most total points on the team with 284.  Senior guard Destiny Salary averages 15 points per game and has had two 20-point performances.

The Lady Toppers defense has also been stout.  The team leads the conference in steals with 11.3 per game, while forcing the second most turnovers in CUSA with 20.28 per game.  Junior guard Alexis Mead averages 10.9 points per game and 3.9 assists, but also leads the conference in assists with 71 and steals with 36.

The Lady Toppers will then host the UTEP Miners (6-9, 1-1 CUSA) on Saturday at noon.  The Miners have a pair of good scorers in senior guards Jane Asinde and Erin Wilson.  They both average over 12 points a game, (15.2 and 13.5) while also averaging 8.6 rebounds and almost two steals per game.  These two have been leading the Miners on both offense and defense and have produced well against conference opponents.

Both games will be available to watch on ESPN+.
