The 11-5 (2-2) Lady Toppers will look to extend their winning streak to three Saturday in Diddle Arena as they take on 12-5 (4-0) Middle Tennessee State.
It will be a tall task for WKU as MTSU has been victorious in the last six meetings against the Lady Toppers dating back to the 2022-2023 season.
WKU is led by senior guard Alexis Mead who is getting it done on both sides of the ball averaging 13.9 points per game, four assists, along with 2.9 steals. It will be a battle on the rebounding end as MTSU averages roughly five more rebounds than the Lady Toppers.
WKU sits sixth in the Conference USA standings two spots below where they were predicted in the preseason polls.
MTSU is led by three double-digit scorers topped off by junior guard Ta’Mia Scott as she averages 15.2 points per game. MTSU has a force on the inside as senior center Anastasiia Boldyreva is third in Division I in blocks per game with 2.8.
WKU looks to hand Middle Tennessee State their first conference loss this season and MTSU’s first loss to the Lady Toppers in nearly three years.
Tipoff is set for 2 P.M. on ESPN+.
