WKU Women’s Basketball will conclude their three-game road trip with a trip to Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
The Lady Toppers sit in third place in the Conference USA standings with a 9-4 record after a win against Sam Houston on the road Thursday.
Junior guard Josie Gilvin put on an exhilarating performance against the Bearkats, scoring 23 points on 9-13 shooting, and grabbing 11 rebounds. Gilvin is the fourth leading scorer on the team, averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds a game.
Louisiana Tech sits at 6-8 in the conference after a loss to Middle Tennessee State on Thursday. The Lady Techsters dominate at home, with a 12-2 record inside Thomas Assembly Center, compared to 1-10 on the road.
“They’re a great offensive rebounding team, and they put a lot of defensive pressure on you,” Head Coach Greg Collins said. “We handled that well here, it’ll be different on their home floor.”
The Lady Techsters are led by freshman guard Paris Bradley, who averages 12.8 points and 3.7 rebounds a game. LA Tech is 16th in the country in free throws per game (15.52).
