WKU Women’s Basketball had three players receive postseason Conference USA awards Monday after a 22-8 (13-5 CUSA) regular season.
Senior guard Alexis Mead was named to the All-CUSA First Team. Junior guard Josie Gilvin and senior guard Destiny Salary were named to the All-CUSA Second Team. Mead and Gilvin also earned All-Defensive Team honors.
Mead is averaging a career high in points leading the Lady Toppers with 13.3 points a game. She is second for the Lady Toppers with a career-high in steals this season, posting 2.2 a game.
Gilvin is coming off a career regular season, doubling her points per game to 13. Gilvin leads the Lady Toppers in rebounds and steals, averaging 5.9 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game.
Salary is coming off of her first full season with the Lady Toppers. Salary averaged 12.6 points in the regular season, and is second in assists for the Lady Toppers averaging 2.7.
The Lady Toppers will take on Florida International Thursday, March 13 in the Conference USA tournament.
