Award-winning journalist Caitlin Dickerson will give a presentation on immigration and human rights on Thursday.
Dickerson, known for her reporting on immigration and human rights, will speak at 7 p.m. in the Jody Richards Hall Auditorium about “Life on the Move: The Global Refugee Crisis.” The presentation will be this year’s first Potter College of Art and Letters Cultural Enhancement Series (CES).
CES allows WKU students to engage with influential artists and intellectuals across the country. The series aims to give thought, introduce fresh ideas, and offer new viewpoints according to the CES website.
Dickerson has worked for The New York Times as a reporter, served as a producer and investigative reporter for NPR and written for The Atlantic. Dickerson won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting.
Jessica Luna, Communications & Events Specialist at WKU, said Dickerson’s presentation will recount experiences from the front lines of global displacement, offering a unique, human-focused perspective on the migration crisis.
