Broadway was diagnosed with epilepsy a year and a half ago and has recently put down a deposit on a German Shepherd service dog which she will go meet in the upcoming few days. Abbi's Barkery is a nonprofit started by Broadway and her family to help others in need of service dogs, their Barkery will open on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Franklin, and it will have its official Grand Opening on Saturday, Nov 19. Freshman Tiye Gardner, from Louisville, Ky., started designing clothes in high school after a knee injury benched her from running track. Gardner is now working on her upcoming fashion show which is in two weeks. Although she has mostly designed dresses in the past, this show will showcase her passion for androgynous clothing. Gardner explained that androgynous style is not as popular in Kentucky so she wants to be able to provide that to people who want it. For three years, members of the international community in Bowling Green have gathered to celebrate Pakistan Day at WKU. At the end of a night full of history, food and dancing, Pakistani Student Association Vice President and WKU junior Rafey Wahlah center, from Lahore, Pakistan, socialize with students from Spain and Saudi Arabia, including magician and WKU junior from Saudi Arabia Mazen Bukhary who performed magic tricks for attendees throughout the evening. I didn't realize I would like it as much as I did,'Hart said. I am glad I did it[became and RA]. The reason you are here is to help. I like to take pride in helping my guys."
