WKU Softball junior outfielder Brylee Hage (11) makes contact during WKU’s matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks on March 21, 2022 at the WKU Softball Complex.

WKU Softball fell at the University of Louisville 4-1 on Feb. 27, falling to 10-5-1 on the season.

Lousiville put all four of their runs on the board in the first and second innings.

WKU’s run came late in the game when junior catcher and infielder Randi Drinnon singled to center field to drive freshman infielder Becca Campbell home in the sixth inning.

Scoring for both teams ceased after WKU’s one run, ultimately leading to the Lady Topper’s fifth loss of the season.

Fifth year pitcher Katie Gardner pitched five innings. She allowed seven hits, one run and threw two strikeouts.

WKU will return to Bowling Green on Friday, March 1 to take on the University of Dayton at 3p.m. CST.
