The Kentucky Museum will host a day-long music festival that will end in a live concert with free admission on Saturday.
The Kentucky Museum on WKU’s campus will be hosting a special event in celebration of the grand opening of a new exhibit. The exhibit is titled “Sonic Landscape: The Musical Legacy of Southcentral Kentucky.”
The festival will have food trucks, art activities and musical performances for guests to enjoy, said Potter College of Arts and Letters Communications and Event Specialist Jessica Luna. It will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m. in Van Meter Hall.
The concert will be performed by Sam Bush, who will also be giving an oral presentation in the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center at 3 p.m. the same day.
The new exhibit will feature historical artifacts and memorabilia, along with audiovisual exhibits to immerse visitors in the rich cultural history of Southcentral Kentucky’s music scene.
