WKU’s chapter of Turning Point USA is hosting a candlelight vigil in memory of Charlie Kirk Thursday, Sept. 25 on South Lawn, the organization announced on Instagram Tuesday.
Kirk, a popular conservative political commentator and founder of TPUSA, was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
“This vigil is in remembrance of Charlie Kirk,” WKU TPUSA said in the post. “We hope to see you all there to honor him and his legacy.”
Candlelight vigils in honor of Kirk have occurred on college campuses across the state. A vigil was hosted at the University of Kentucky on Sept. 14, and at the University of Louisville on Sept. 15.
The vigil is scheduled for 8 p.m.
